The transformative power of counselling.

Who I am What I do

Thank you for visiting. I understand that taking the step to seek counselling is a courageous decision, and I would be honored to be a part of your journey towards healing and personal growth.

Navigating life’s challenges can be an intricate journey, and it’s not uncommon to find oneself facing multiple struggles simultaneously. Whether you are grappling with personal, relational, or mental health issues, please know that you don’t have to face these challenges alone.

I believe in the transformative power of counselling, and I am dedicated to helping you achieve your goals. At the heart of my counselling practice is a commitment to a client-centered approach. I recognize that each person’s journey is unique, and I am here to guide you through a process that is tailored to your individual needs and goals.

About me

Hello! My name is Alison. I am a registered social worker (with the Alberta College of Social Work), with a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology from the University of Lethbridge. I am an experienced therapist, with over 20 years of clinical experience providing mental health services to adults, adolescents, and families with complex mental health needs.

In-Person Sessions:

For those who prefer face-to-face interaction, in-person sessions provide a traditional therapeutic setting.

Virtual Therapy:

I also offer virtual therapy sessions to accommodate individuals who may find this mode of communication more convenient or suitable to their lifestyle.

Individual Therapy

Individual therapy is a personalized space where clients can openly explore their thoughts, emotions, and personal challenges.

Therapy for Adolescents

I provide both individual and family therapy for teens.

Parenting Support/ Therapy

Therapy for parents can address a variety of concerns and challenges related to parenting, family dynamics, and individual well-being.

Family Therapy

I offer family therapy to support families in understanding each other better, resolving conflicts, improving communication, and creating a healthier family system.

I help individuals facing a range of mental health challenges. However, my expertise extends to working with complex mental health issues, with a particular focus on anxiety, depression, and includes specialized counselling for adolescents, parenting, and family therapy.

“As a single footstep will not make a path on earth, so a single thought will not make a pathway in the mind. To make a deep physical path, we must walk again and again. To make a deep mental path, we must think over and over the kind of thoughts we wish to dominate our lives”. – Henry David Thoreau
