Attachment Therapy
Attachment therapy is a broad term that encompasses various therapeutic approaches aimed at addressing and improving attachment patterns between individuals, typically focusing on parent-child or caregiver-child relationships.
Attachment therapy can take different forms. I draw from Attachment-Based Family Therapy.
Attachment-Based Family Therapy (ABFT) is designed to strengthen family bonds, especially between parents and adolescents. ABFT typically involves helping parents understand their child’s emotional needs, improving communication, and addressing relational conflicts within the family.
